Aristolochia Planting

To plant native Aristolochia californica, our native variety of Dutchman's Pipevine Plant, at various places in the East Bay Regional Parks. This plant provides the only habitat for the local Swallowtail Butterfly. These plants have virtually disappeared due to drought and development. By establishing this plant in the Parks, we hope to create a habitat corridor for this butterfly.
