The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens - Late Bloomers Garden Club

As a museum and an institution listed in the National Register of Historic Places, historical accuracy and integrity are of the utmost importance while reconstructing the gardens in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Funding from The Garden Club of America will be used towards the costs of purchasing new plants and engaging the expertise of WLA Studio, a historic landscape consultant. The goal of this project is to honor the historic character of the site while making improvements that correct storm-related damage and better prepare the site to withstand future storm events. The Museum is committed to creating a sustainable and river-friendly landscape.
