Brucemore Mansion & Garden – Cedar Rapids Garden Club

Brucemore has lost a historic glass green house called the Lord and Burnham greenhouse, as well as estimated 40% of a modern greenhouse. They have lost 40-50 trees estimated to be 150-200 years old. The beautiful gardens are very damaged. They were designed by O.C. Simonds in 1910, who was an influential member of the regional prairie landscape movement. We would donate the funds to help specifically with the grounds. We will be involved in supporting Brucemore in storm cleanup, both financially
and physically.
