Project Dogwood Stanton's Traditional Reborn

The Augusta Garden Club wants to restore the dogwood after anthracnose devastated East Coast dogwoods. Having installed a teaching arboretum of seven hybrid cultivars in our downtown park, we propose spreading renewed dogwoods in socially-diverse parks, schools and Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind. An education module for schools and illustrated signs would teach all ages about dogwoods. AGC would serve as a resource for other localities who want to replace their lost dogwoods.
