Moon Terrace Learning Laboratory At The Santa Fe Botanical Garden

Ethnobotanical Moon Terrace Learning Laboratory at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden will emphasize hands-on learning. Students of all ages will experience the genius of indigenous agriculture - the interdependence of plants and people; learn plant lore of indigenous cultures; plant and harvest native terrace crops; grind corn and bake bread in traditional “horno” ovens; dye fibers and weave baskets from plants grown on-site; and learn about ancient water-conserving “Zuni Bowls” in a bilingual teaching environment.
