Ijams Park Nature Center, Knoxville TN, has organized visits March through July, as many as 160 school children a day. These students from area classrooms come by bus to walk paths, study animal and plant habitats, play games and learn. They also run a day camp for children from kindergarten thorugh fifth garde durning June and July. The last two weeks of this period are devoted to scholarship camps for inner-city children. Jackie recently completed a very successful two-year term as President of the Knoxville Garden Club. She is blessed with a lively sense of humor. For the last six years she has created program that were previously unheard of for all age groups of children that have been innovative and well received.
