Judy has furthered the environmental educations of hundreds of children as Education and Community Empowerment Coordinator for Denver Urban Gardens (DUG). She has developed innovative mentoring programs in DUG's school classes to teach nutrition and gardening programs. Known as the "Jungle Lady" by the children, she gives these young inner-city gardeners the opportunity to learn about enterpreneurial enterprises and gain a monetary incentive for operating their garden market stand on Sunday afternoons.
