Rid-All Green Partnership

The Shaker Lakes Garden Club (SLGC) in Cleveland, Ohio will work with Rid-All Green Partnership (RAGP) to help sustain their newly started Cleveland Urban Tree Farm and Nursery and assist in any other program where help is required. The Cleveland Urban Tree Nursery at Rid-All is unique in that it produces native plant material grown from local seed sources, ensuring that plant material is adapted to the greater Cleveland area and is genetically diverse. 

Rid All Green Partnership was founded by five Black men in 2011 in order to transform Cleveland's Kinsman neighborhood, a largely underserved, Black majority neighborhood which is designated a food desert, into an oasis of urban agriculture and education. The nonprofit also runs a five month training program focused on learning to manage a farming business, offers paid apprenticeships, owns and operates a wildly successful Tilapia business, and produces and sells its own proprietary soil made from compost. The RAGP’s mission is to transform communities through food, improving their quality of life.
