EarthDance Organic Farm School
The Garden Club of St. Louis collaborating with EarthDance
The Garden Club of St. Louis will partner with EarthDance to promote awareness of the farm’s service-learning opportunities at program meetings and via the monthly newsletter, The Grapevine. Garden Club members will also support the project by committing to regular volunteer shifts at the Pay What You Can Farm Stand, assisting with set-up, break-down, and by supporting special programming hosted at the farm during Farm Stand hours.
EarthDance’s mission is to advance food justice by training farmers and gardeners of all ages, providing connection to healthy food and the land, and cultivating a vibrant community. Earthdance has a robust service-learning program where volunteers work alongside professional farmers, their farmer-trainees, and local high school students engaging in agri-culinary apprenticeships. This programming brings people from different walks of life together to cultivate food which is distributed to the community at EarthDance’s Pay What You Can Farm Stand and the Ferguson Farmers Market. The organization serves over 5000 individuals annually through farm-based education and healthy food access.
