This portion of the Dane Park Project is specifically to remove Multiflora Rosa and Celastrus orbiculatus(Oriental Bittersweet) along the Pine Path (Path is clearly marked on Master Plan and photos will be supplied). The Pine Path is a foot path within Dane Park lined with beautiful old growth Eastern White Pine (Pinus Strobus). These Pines are being threatened by the very fast encroachment of the Bittersweet underplanted and protected by an infestation of Multiflora Rosa. Its removal will remove this threat from this large and elegant stand of Pines.
