Post Office Restoration Project

Summit is a beautiful town with a wonderful Post Office in the heart of our community. Unfortunately, years of neglect from a previous Post Master left the grounds an eyesore in our community. In fact, many friends, acquaintances and local business owners were distressed that the Post Office looked so bad and in need of a total overhaul. What started as a provisional project to help clean up became a focus to improve and enhance the grounds back to its original beginnings. The current Post Master was thrilled when we approached him with our idea. He has so many other tasks to be addressed that the grounds wasn't a priority for him and getting the federal government involved is not an easy task. To restore the Summit Post Office back to it's beautiful beginnings and make the Post Office a source of pride instead of an overgrown eyesore in our community.
