To preserve and enhance the natural world by planting and maintaining a small garden with native pollinator plants and native Texas grasses along Northaven Trail in Dallas to support wildlife including Monarch butterflies during their annual migration.
Beginning in 2022, Founders connected with Dallas' public Northaven Trail, a nine-mile commuter and recreational bike and hike trail built and maintained by the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, for a "weed wrangle" of a neglected small garden along the trail in need of eradiating invasives and replanting with native perennials. Since then, Founders has continued to maintain the garden and replant perennials as needed. Our goal is to plant more native Texas grasses, propagate plants, and continue growing pollinator plants to attract Monarch butterflies and other pollinators.
