Jack Buckley
Recipient of the Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award, 2025
Nominated by a member of Cohasset Garden Club

Jack Buckley serves as president of the Cohasset Center for Student Coastal Research (CSCR), which he founded in 2002. His leadership has been instrumental in educating hundreds of middle and high school students across Massachusetts' South Shore about coastal ecosystems. Under his guidance, CSCR engages students in hands-on environmental research, challenging them to investigate complex ecological issues and develop real-world solutions. The annual State of the Harbor reports, presented by students themselves, showcase their research and foster deeper connections to environmental stewardship. Through Jack's vision, CSCR has become a beacon for youth environmental education, empowering students to appreciate and protect our fragile coastal environments.
