Recipient of the Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award, 2025

Nominated by a member of Piscataqua Garden Club

Heather Campbell has served as Executive Director of the White Pines Programs since 2019, after beginning as an active "Piney" parent in 2015. A Master Gardener with deep interest in preserving York's natural spaces, Heather has significantly expanded the organization's programming. Despite pandemic challenges, she maintained operations while extending programs into York and Wells, Maine, and Portsmouth, NH schools. By 2021, her leadership had increased participation to over 3,000 children. Her decade of dedicated service with White Pines and Seeds of Wonder programs has connected countless youth with nature, fostering a love of the outdoors and developing their understanding of conservation principles essential for protecting the land.
