Fund Options

Great work requires resources. That's why we are grateful for donations to Annual Giving and to our Restricted and Endowed Funds.

ANNUAL GIVING FUND OPTIONS

Donations to annual giving funds are available for immediate use.

GCA General Operations and Programs
These funds support the current year's budget including educational meetings and speakers, committee projects, and club, zone and committee efforts around the country.

General Medals
The GCA offers nineteen national medals recognizing excellence in fields related to the purpose. Ten national medals are awarded each year to individuals and organizations that have made a national impact. This fund enables GCA clubs to learn from and celebrate our distinguished recipients.

Restoration Initiative
The GCA awards up to $50,000 annually to GCA clubs for eligible landscape restoration and conservation projects in communities devastated by natural disasters. All clubs are eligible to apply. Read more about granted projects.

Founders Fund Awards
The GCA awards $50,000 annually to GCA clubs for civic improvement projects in their communities. All clubs are eligible to apply. Read more about the most recent winners.

General Scholarships
Gifts to this fund give the GCA Scholarship Committee flexibility in awarding scholarships, based on the unique needs of the current year's applicants.

An Individual Scholarship (indicate which)
The GCA offers 28 merit-based scholarships in 12 areas. Read more about each scholarship and more than 1,300 scholars the GCA has supported since 1928.

RESTRICTED FUND OPTIONS

Restricted and endowment funds are the lifeblood of the organization. Less than half of the GCA's revenue comes from annual dues, so robust endowed and invested funds are essential.

GCA Endowment Fund
The GCA Endowment Fund is the primary source of support for the GCA's operations.

Blackburn Conservation and National Affairs Fund
Established in 2000 to honor former president Sadie Gwin Blackburn, this fund supports the GCA's vital conservation education and environmental advocacy.

Cudahy Education Fund
Established in 1953, this fund supports the GCA's broad educational endeavors, including Annual Meeting speakers, flower shows, workshops and conferences, which educate local and national GCA members in fields related to the GCA's purpose.

Partners for Plants Fund
Partners for Plants is a unique national program promoting native plants and the removal of invasive species on America's public lands. This fund supports GCA member clubs that pursue these important horticultural projects.

Shirley Meneice Horticulture Conference Fund
Formally established in 2017, this fund supports the educational elements of the national Horticulture conference presented annually for GCA member clubs.
