Silvery Blue Butterfly Release
GCA in the City San Francisco will come full circle as we participate in a live Silvery Blue butterfly release in the Presidio, San Francisco. Dr. Kapan invites us to actively assist with the release--no pre-training required!
"This project is becoming a long-term model for regenerating urban biodiversity and we are actively planning for more species and more dunes! With GCA’s legacy in conservation and education, we’d love to explore ways to collaborate more broadly: whether that’s through field participation, community science, or future support for the next phase of this work." - Dr. Durrell Kapan
