Every community should be lucky enough to have a King Milling. In 2009 King was honored with the GCA Margaret Douglas Medal. Through his leadership of the America's Wetland Foundation and its initiatives, King has been raising awareness about how America's Energy Coast is critical to the nation's energy and economic security. For many years he has championed the cause of conservation and restoration of the wetlands of coastal Louisiana, and has reached out to educate public officials, garden club and conservation groups about coastal restoration. He is also Chairman of the Governor's Advisory Commission on Coastal Restoration and Conservation in Louisiana. Member since 2014. King is a member of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana and serves on the Board of National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
