Kris Jarantoski, former Director of the Chicago Botanic Garden and Executive Vice President of the Chicago Horticulture Society. Recognized as one of the most important horticulturists nationally, Mr. Jarantoski was awarded the GCA's Honorary Membership in 2016, the GCA's Distinguished Service Medal in 2011 and the GCA Zone Horticulture Commendation (Zone XI) in 2007. Other awards include: the American Horticultural Society Professional Award (2007), the American Public Gardens Association Honorary Life Member award (2014), the Arthur Hoyt Scott Medal and Award (2015), the American Society of Landscape Architects Honorary Membership (2016), the George Robert White Medal from the Massachusetts Horticulture Society (2015), the Chicago Horticultural Society Hutchinson Medal (2017), and the Chicago Horticultural Society Medal (2017)..
