Retired from Quarryhill Botanical Garden in September 2019 as Executive Director Emeritus, Bill McNamara has botanized extensively in East Asia and North America. He has received numerous awards, had several articles published and continues to write, lectures widely, consults on horticulture and design, and holds a third degree in Black belt Aikido. He is very concerned about the protection and conservation of endangered plant species.
