2011 Jane Righter Rose Medal
Awarded to William J. Radler, the man who delivered the winning punch to the world of roses, "Mr. Knock Out".

The Jane Righter Rose Medal is awarded for outstanding achievement in rose culture through the propagation of new roses, civic achievement in community rose gardens of educational value, exhibitions by amateur gardeners, or unusual rose collections of special merit.
Designed in 1941 by sculptor Gertrude K. Lathrop, the medal was presented and endowed by the Greenwich Garden Club, Connecticut, in memory of Jane Righter, Trustee of the School of Horticulture for Women, Ambler, Pennsylvania. Previous winners include horticulturalist and rose authority, Harriet Hollister Spencer (1959), the Edisto Rose Garden in Orangeburg, South Carolina (1973), and rose grower and advocate, Larry J. Burks (2002).
