Pawpaw is a deciduous shrub or small tree with obovate, mid-green leaves to 12” long that turn yellow in autumn. Cup shaped flowers borne singly or in small clusters occur in late spring, producing an edible sweet fruit later in the season. Hardy in USDA Zones 5-9.
