Plumleaf azalea is a native, hairless evergreen azalea with elliptic, mid-green leaves that grows in the shade in acidic soil. As a late bloomer, its vivid funnel-shaped orange to orange-red blossoms will flower in a shade garden in the late summer. It grows to 8'H x 6'W. Hardy from USDA Zones 6 to 9.
