2025 The Elizabeth Gardner Norweb Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship
Habitat Evaluation and Species Distribution Modeling for Michigan's Bladderworts (utricularia Spp.)
My project aims to determine the ecological factors influencing the diversity and distribution of Michigan's Bladderwort species, a genus of carnivorous plants. My previously collected data uncovered a relationship between water lily presence and high Bladderwort diversity, which I will explore during the Summer of 2025. My data will help us understand the factors influencing Bladderwort establishment and diversity, and the effects that water lily species may have on wetland plant communities.
