2025 The Joan K. Hunt and Rachel M. Hunt Summer Scholarship in Field Botany
Drawing the Public to the Field Botany of Roundabout Meadow Wildlife Management Area (loudoun County, Virginia)
I will be surveying a wildlife management field to make a checklist of the plants growing there. I will also be expanding and organizing the herbarium collection representing the field. Finally, I will be illustrating a selection of the plants in the field to be displayed on an informational kiosk.

To promote the importance of botany to horticulture by encouraging young students to study field botany in the U.S., and to offer an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the field beyond the regular course of study.
