Summer Environmental StudyAshley Rodman
2014 The Garden Club of America Awards for Summer Environmental Studies
Ashley Rodman of Elizabeth, AR, is a senior at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences/University of Arkansas. She will be traveling to Nampula, Mozambique, where she will develop a water quality monitoring project with a professorn the Crop, Soil and Environmental Science Department at UA. She will be measuring E. coli numbers as indicators of decal contamination and nitrate levels of water pumped through the filtration system. Ashley has been the spearhead for the engineering team who will be building water filters.
