Chiara Forrester is studying Plant Ecology and Biodiversity at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. As a junior she will conduct research at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Gothic, Colorado, a renowned high-altitude ecological field and research station. Her focus will be symbiotic relationships between plants and fungi. She will test whether a beneficial symbiont alters the outcome of competition, potentially facilitating the coexistence of a host species and it competitor.
