2014 The Garden Club of America Zone VI Fellowship in Urban Forestry
David Jaeckel is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He will research: "Capturing Storm Water Runoff in an Urban Forest in the Yale Swale adjacent to Yale's campus," to determine how an urban forest can function as a green storm water infrastructure. His research will provide an example of managing an urban forest to maximize storm water capture capabilities and has the potential to be applied to similar urban forests in the northeastern U.S.
