2016 The Katharine M. Grosscup Scholarships in Horticulture
Dylan Ford is a master’s student studying Landscape Architecture at Ball State University. His passion is providing sustainable, clean water for people and the environment. Believing that nature provides the best examples for water purification and that people provide ingenuity in engineering, he is examining natural systems such as hydrology and aquatic biomes, as well as technical advancements for inspiration to design constructed ecosystems for wastewater management. His research addresses local and global public health issues related to sanitation of water, based upon “living systems” of plants and microorganisms as potential solutions.
