Influence of Developmental Stage and Life History on Leaf Traits in Tropical Rain Forest Trees
Grover’s research will be situated in Ecuador’s biodiverse Yasuni National Park. Grover will examine the relationship between leaf-trait morphology and both plant-developmental stage and life-history strategy. Grover will focus specifically on variations of leaf drip tips within and across species. The studies will shed light on the unique mechanisms of leaf morphology that allow plants to better adapt to environmental conditions in the tropics.
