2021 The Corliss Knapp Engle Scholarship in Horticulture
Viticulture and Drought Stress
Sinclair researches the impact of drought on grapevine performance, as well as the physiological mechanisms that drive cultivar variation and their contrasting response to water-stress. Her findings will provide insight into the adaptations that make certain plant genotypes better than others at coping with water-stress. She hopes to pursue these research interests while also promoting diversity and inclusion within her local viticulture community. She will be entering the Horticulture & Agronomy PhD program fall of 2021.
