2012 The Garden Club of America Scholarship in Garden History and Design at the Archives of American Gardens
Is a Masters candidate at the University of South Carolina, in the School of Library and Information Science. As an undergraduate, Jessica worked as a horticulture technician and became familiar with a variety of plants. She also has experience with cataloging, writing, editing and processing newly acquired materials and scanning images, all skills needed to perform the collections management duties at the Archive of American Gardens (AAG) at the Smithsonian. She will digitize and catalog new acquisitions to the GCA Collection.

To encourage the study of garden history and design and, if possible, aid in cataloging The Garden Club of America Collection in the Archives of American Gardens (AAG) at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.
