2020 The Katharine M. Grosscup Scholarships in Horticulture
Kasandra Hernandez is an undergraduate studying sustainable plant systems, with an emphasis in horticulture, at the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University. She recently was employed as a lab assistant in the research laboratory at the Davey Tree Expert Institute. There she worked on integrated vegetative management research, including surveying powerlines and rights-of-way, conducting soil benchmark tests. Hernandez hopes to combine her love of science and education to spread the enjoyment of horticulture.
