Seed and seedling responses to leaf litter depth along a domestication gradient in chile pepper: A study on the growth differences between chile peppers of differing cultivation levels to better understand the evolutionary changes between each type.
Fulcher’s undergraduate research focuses on the morphological differences in the early life stages of chili peppers of different cultivation levels, from wild chilies to landrace varieties. Fulcher’s thesis, “Seed and Seedling Responses to Leaf Litter Depth along a Domestication Gradient in Chili Pepper,” will explore evolutionary changes in chilies that result from cultivation.
