A Ph.D. student in the Geography Program and Applied Geographic Information Science at University North Carolina, Charlotte. He will use LiDar, which measures speed, distance and rotation through light detection, to do rapid assessments of urban forestry health in Charlotte. This new methodology will aid in developing more accurate urban forestry management plans.
