2019 The Corliss Knapp Engle Scholarship in Horticulture
Kyra Matin is a master of environmental horticulture candidate in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences at the University
of Washington, Seattle. She will be studying at the Dunedin Botanic Garden on the South Island of New Zealand to train and conduct research for the continued development of the New Zealand native plant display at the University of Washington Botanic Garden (UWBG). The UWBG has the largest collection of New Zealand native plants outside of New Zealand. She will be involved in seed collecting, cultural research, and evaluating plant selection and care strategies.
