Drought and its Effects on Oryza sativa 'Kitaake' Expressing CspB
Drought experiments are currently being conducted in 'Kitaake' rice expressing Cold Shock Protein B (CspB) to see how yield (among other factors) are impacted by drought exposure prior to flowering (when they are most sensitive to drought). Corn expressing CspB, which possesses improved drought tolerance, is already widely available, yet little work has been done within CspB rice to see if it behaves similarly.
