Meghan M. Bennett is a Zoology Ph.D. student at North Dakota State University, who is interested in the environmental impacts on pollinators in the midst of a changing climate. Her research is focused on understanding how environmental light and temperature patterns affect pupa development and adult emergence using the alfalfa leaf cutting bee, Megachile rotundata, a very important commercial pollinator.

To provide funding to study the causes of pollinator decline, in particular bees, bats, butterflies, and moths, which could lead to potential solutions for their conservation and sustainability.
