How Do Foliar Fungal Endophytes Affect Volatile Composition in White Snakeroot?
I will examine how differences in microbial composition affect the volatile profile of the Kentucky native wildflower, white snakeroot. Sterile white snakeroot plants will be inoculated with different fungal endophytes. After confirmation of successful inoculation, white snakeroot leaves and flowers will be measured using dynamic headspace techniques to investigate differences in volatile profiles between treatment groups.
