2013 The Catherine H. Beattie Fellowship in Conservation Horticulture
Phillip Moore is a Master’s degree candidate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He will study “Primary Pollinators and other Visitors to Pityopteris ruthii in Natural Populations.” Phillip’s project involves an endangered plant of the Southeastern United States. He proposes to investigate an issue of potential conservation significance – the use of genetic techniques to compare the genetic origin of pollen relative to the plant visited.
