2025 The Caroline Thorn Kissel Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship
Surveying Local Perceptions of the Potential Re-designation of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area
I am investigating the debate over whether Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DEWA) should be re-designated as a National Park and Preserve. By administering surveys to residents in the five counties surrounding the recreation area, I seek to elucidate the public's perceptions of the debate and ideal outcome for DEWA. Knowing the public's opinions on this debate is crucial for continuing the conversation and making any future decisions regarding DEWA.
