Virginia Henson is from Ashland, VA and is a junior at the College of William and Mary with plans for graduate school and a career in research biology with a focus on ecology. She will work as part of a team researching different aspects of common milkweed that is a conservation concern due to its decline in agricultural settings and its importance of being a primary host for the monarch butterflies. The decline of common milkweed and monarch butterflies are major concerns for today's environment.
